Intranet

EARTHGRID is a global INTRANET, accessed via the Internet by EarthGrid members, and is available for special license and deployment by companies, groups and associations. EarthGrid Intranet members enjoy use of all the same communication protocols available on the Internet (email, Web sites, Web-basedphone and text messaging-e.g. Skype-etc.) but in a secure, spam-free, online environment. Every EarthGrid member has a node of their own on the network database where they can create and store content.

EarthGrid members may then communicate with other members who have allowed an open channel to them. By allowing communications only from other members you have chosen to be connected to and conversely only if they have chosen to be connected to you, EarthGrid members are always in complete control of their environment. This provides several unique benefits: the option of either complete anonymity or complete control advanced tracking at the discretion of each licensee.

EarthGrid Intranet members never have to worry about browser updates, software version upgrades or upload/download times for all member databases are universally enabled and connected to EarthGrid's central server or individually licensed servers.

When you use EarthGrid for your digital communications, no communication you create actually ever leaves your EarthGrid database or domain. When you ping a member to view "my email" or "take a phone call from me" EarthGrid simply allows other members to access your content (via the email or voice transfer protocol you have chosen) and nothing needs to be "sent." Nothing you create will ever be stored anywhere else on EarthGrid except in your own DB, therefore EarthGrid members never have to worry about leaving a trail they don't have the power to simply change, or delete from their own domain. There will never be charges for sending and receiving content, nor access or additional storage fees for being an EarthGrid member.

Collaborative Information Flow

Collaborative Information Flow (CIF) is a pioneering concept whereby you and your team can build ideas or "broadcast" messages, or even web pages, that are co-created. For example, a development team member generates an idea and sends the idea to the team members throughout the world, the team can evolve this message. They can copy and paste this message and others' messages into a DYNAMIC web page all team members can build and develop in real-time. This streamlines the development process.

One of the ways CIF can be used is to rapidly prototype database-backed web sites with multiple users, such as a newspaper or ezine with many contributing writers. Another way could be a video-zine with multiple video contributors. The unique feature of this is that the design/layout and advertising is managed and controlled by the licensee or earthgrid and its partners. The actual content can be member supplied and updated instantly without requiring editorial review or oversight. Similarly, task-based 'mastermind teams' can collaborate on projects and deliver them to a growing audience.

Another way CIF can be used is with private-label content. A group of content providers can aggregate their content offerings and offer them as a block of media to high-volume web sites that drive traffic and advertising revenue to the content. Through a revenue-sharing model, the advertising or subscription revenue can therefore be shared among the content providers at the discretion of the licensee.
